With the Arizona summer shortly upon us, it is important that we do a few things in preparation. Make sure our AC is fully functioning, make sure we have water with us constantly, and make sure things around the house, especially outside, are prepared for the harsh heat. This includes your yard – which if you would like to keep looking pristine, needs to be prepared for the summer!
Clean Up Dead Shrubs
You’ve heard the saying, out with the old in with the new – right? Well the same applies for your lawn. During the winter, the frost can kill parts of your lawn. Clearing this away will help the new summer lawn to come in clear.
Aerate Your Lawn
By poking small little holes in your lawn, you allow air and water to penetrate your soil, which in turn allows nutrients to be better absorbed.
Water Your Lawn
ITS HOT! Your grass and plants need the water too. Make sure when you are watering however, you are reaching further than just the surface of the soil. All that is buried needs to be taken care of as well with deep irrigation.
