Have Allergies? Avoid These 3 Plants

Plant Allergies Shovel Soil

It’s January, and that means one thing here in Arizona. We have a few more chilly months but SPRING IS COMING. (Any Game of Thrones fans here?)

However, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your allergies. With allergy right around the corner, it is important to consider the vegetation you have around your home that could be making your allergies worse. Here at ABC Scapes, we want to make you aware of all the potential trees and plants that could be worsening your problems with your allergies.

Daisies

As beautiful as daisies are, they’re also dangerous for those of us who suffer from allergy problems. As a relative of the ragweed, these flowers are some of the biggest pollen producers, guaranteed to make any allergy problem more prevalent.

Palm Trees

Woah woah woah, even palm trees? Yep.

Most tall palm trees are female, that don’t create pollen, but the males are another story. Smaller in size and easier to manage than their larger counterpart, male palm trees are notorious for pollen production.

English Ivy

You know those plants you see covering the outside of your home? That’s English Ivy. Although this plant actually tends to have cleansing properties for the air, the leaves and stems of this plant have been known to give people with sensitive skin hives and even blisters!

If you have any of these plants that you would like to have removed, or even questions about the plants you have in your yard, give our experts a call at (602) 404-0568.
