ABC Scapes Inc. is able to formulate a turf management program to meet the most demanding requirements. Achieving a year round, healthy green turf requires a balance of water, fertilization, grass varieties to meet seasonal changes and shade conditions, thatch control, aeration, and weed control. Bermuda varieties thrive in the summer heat and sun but do not do well in the areas that are heavily shaded. In addition the Bermuda goes dormant and turns brown in the winter and requires an over seeding operation using rye varieties to give winter green. Fescue varieties are used to augment the Bermuda grass in heavily shaded areas. Aeration, thatch removal, and weed control for broadleaf weed and nutsedge are also important elements of maintaining a healthy, vibrant turf.
